Family Vacation Bus Rentals
Why book your family trip with Japan Private Drivers?
We are experts on Japan, and through TokudAw have operated private tours in Japan with a combined experience of more than ten years. We love introducing visitors to everything Japan has to offer, and letting our guests experience the country we love in the best possible way, so they go home as enchanted by Japan as we are, and eager to book their next Japanese adventure.
While our main tour provider handles the creation of private tour itineraries for family groups, many guests already have their itineraries and travel plans set, and like to organise their transportation separately. For these guests, booking a car and driver through JPD is the simplest way to make sure their personal travel needs are delivered to the highest possible standard.
JPD provides guests with 14-seater Toyota Hiace Commuter vans, and can supply power wheelchairs, mobility devices and child seats to cater to family groups of varying age ranges. Many tours are conducted using larger buses, but for us, these do not provide the level of comfort and intimacy that most guests prefer. With a smaller vehicle, and personal, multi-lingual and knowledgeable driver, our guests get an experience of Japan that is much more flexible. We can transport you to harder-to-reach locations that are off the main highways, and get you even closer to your drop off point, or the sightseeing spots you prefer, without the restrictions of large buses or coaches.
Important information:
Our vehicles:
JPD can only service guests who are travelling into or out of Tokyo. For other locations, please contact TokudAw.
Our vehicles undergo inspections every three months, and any issues are immediately repaired before the vehicles return to service. Vehicles also undergo a more stringent annual inspection.
There is a vehicle inspection officer who completes a final check on all vehicles before they depart.
All vehicles are fully insured.
Our drivers:
We employ highly-trained, multilingual drivers who have extensive experience working with guests from many different countries and backgrounds, including guests with health conditions and disabilities. They are extremely knowledgeable, having spent years guiding guests through some of Japan's most famous and some of its lesser known regions.
All drivers undergo a physical examination at the start of the day to ensure they are in a good condition to drive.
Our drivers also undergo 20 hours of on-the-road training to make sure that they are familiar with the vehicle.
All vehicles are equipped with front and interior drive recorders to monitor driver behaviour, so we can always allow them to improve.
All vehicles are also equipped with a digital tachograph, to monitor erratic driving. If dangerous driving has been detected, the main office gets notified immediately. The digital tachograph also has GPS embedded so we can check where the driver has been.
We hold monthly seminars for our drivers ranging from how to maintain top vehicle condition, to things to take note of while driving under snowy or rainy conditions.
